OUR COMMUNITY
In addition to having access to coaches, you can also get to know your peers. We use GroupMe -- password protected and moderated by Kaley and David -- to facilitate connections, sharing of information, and dialogue among students.
DO DRILLS
Our secure GroupMe will allow debaters to set up their own practice rounds and drills with other students, whenever they want more practice between lessons -- and we're happy to give drill suggestions!
Plus, debaters are welcome to add a coach to their drills, for only $15/hour.
DISCUSS THE TOPIC
One perspective isn't enough.
Our debaters have a shared Google Drive, so they can learn how everyone else is approaching the topic and will know what to expect in the fall.
Kaley and David will check in periodically to answer any questions.
CONNECT WITH OTHER DEBATERS
Debate is, after all, an interpersonal activity. Beacon creates a community of competitors from all over the country who, during the season, can share prep, enrich their insight, and develop friendships.
