We love debate.
We also know from over 50 collective years in the activity how much it demands of both students and parents. We wanted to create a program that makes the knowledge, camaraderie, and confidence we've gained from the activity more accessible, without sacrificing quality. So we moved debate camp online. Here's what we do differently:

Personalized curricula. Students are paired with one coach for the workshop, who works with our Curriculum Team to create a plan for each student, and keep adjusting that plan throughout the summer. That means your debater's curriculum starts where they are and moves at the same pace as they do. Whatever event you do, we'll try to find a coach who's an expert in it.

Flexible timing. We know what it's like to sacrifice an internship, job, or family vacation to go to a two week debate camp that is, who knows why, right in the middle of the summer. Beacon leaves debaters, and their families, with full command over their summers. Our workshops offer unmatched flexibility in scheduling.

Affordability. Good debate training shouldn't be exorbitantly priced. Unlike on-site camps, which are often upwards of $2000, we offer prices as low as $400. As we grow, we hope to be adding scholarships. Please contact us if the cost is prohibitive and we will do our best to make accommodations.

Teaching excellence. Every single member of our staff has both impressive debate accolades and has experience coaching (see our bios!)--and we think both are absolutely necessary to teaching well. We've practiced the crafts of debate and education in auditoriums and classrooms all over the country. Plus, because we offer time and location flexibility, we're able to recruit the best debate teachers from America who are also, just like you, interested in juggling other exciting activities this summer.
